The encoder signal converter was born from the need to have a versatile and very useful product to convert and manage incremental encoder signals. It is a universal interface that can be used as an encoder signal converter, as a signal splitter or as a switch between two signals. The HM210GV board was designed to do all this!
HM210GV: Simple, easy and cheap !!
HM210GV accepts input signals AB0 with HTL (10-30Volt) or TTL / RS422 (5 Volt) logic up to 1MHz frequency
Depending on the needs, the card can act as a level converter between TTL and HTL and vice versa. In the case of a signal splitter, the input signal can be sent to the two outputs with different electronics: for example on the first HTL output and on the second TTL
If there are two encoder signals at the input and you want to switch each signal between output 1 and 2 you can use the Control 1 and 2 inputs. In this way it is possible to “address” the signal to the desired output.
The different functions of the board are set very simply with the aid of dip-switches which make their configuration easy and intuitive.
The HM210GV board is not exclusively an encoder signal converter. The card can also be used as a line amplifier to “regenerate” the encoder signal or any other TTL or HTL device. In cases where the lengths of the wiring could cause significant voltage drops, the HM210GV board can be positioned along the way to restore good quality of the transmitted signal.
HM210GV is therefore a very simple card but with various possibilities of use. The small footprint and the predisposition for DIN rail make it practical to house it inside the electrical panel..
